Icey ice.. YUMMMMMMMMMM

Okay, so I went to play basketball today and started off pretty crappy... Missing shots from under the ring is inexcusable.. But once I got my groove I was boxing out and defending pretty damn good. Towards the end, when we were playing with 4 Eclipse (name of the basketball team I'm a part of) players against 4 other regulars at the Canning College courts and we came out on top. I think I managed to score 3 of the 9 points required to win, so I was feeling pretty happy about that.

After that we headed to Makan Cafe in Vic Park. Had some decent Mee Goreng there, and 2 glasses of Teh Tarik... Damn it's good! If you're ever in the area, go to Makan Cafe and get yourself some Teh Tarik... I prefer the cold version :P (It's near Icey Ice, across the street)

Speaking of Icey Ice, I finally went there for the first time today. It was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo gooddddddd!! I tried Oreo, Strawberry and Mango flavours and I have to say that the Mango one was the best. The Strawberry and Mango one came as the "Twin Towers" thing.. Roid made the smart joke of holding a spoon and saying "Here comes the aeroplane!" while zooming it around... I found it hilarious. Maybe I'm an asshole for that, but oh well. If you don't get it, it's probably better that way :P After that whole episode I was on a high, most likely sugar induced, but it was fun all the same. Probably one of the better food-outings I've been to in a while, in relation to food enjoyment <-> cost.

Ooh, and I finally got my Wii online this evening, and ended up versing Quanny in a few races :D I think the record was 2 - 2 as far as GP(Grand Prix) wins goes with just the two of us competing... He got so lucky with those red shells! Hax imo... In one instance, I had a fake item square guarding my back, and the red shell went right through it! And then there's Rainbow Road....................... I hate that stage. If you want to beat me in a stage on Mario Kart, that's the one. I hate it with a passion. I hope it dies in a fire. A very hot, scalding fire that's hot enough to sear it to a charcoal black but not hot enough to incinerate it within an instant. >_> Hate. I also ended up doing a few games online, one GP against Aussies only, where I averaged about 3rd place in most races. Another GP I did against the rest of the world... Something like 2 people from Japan, 2 people from Holland/The Netherlands, 6 people from America, 1 guy from Sweden and myself. I averaged second in most races.. The guy who averaged first in the races was from Japan. They had a female Mii.. So they might have been female. Whoever they were, they were nuts! Something like 8000 points to their name as opposed to everyone else's 5000-7000.

Anyway... Does anyone have Death Note? I can't find the series anywhere!!! I got to episode 13 or something then no more :( Also looking for any good comedies... Or any other anime with the amount of amazing twists and turns Death Note takes :P Speaking of anime, in the video store I went to today with Roid so he could drop off some vids... They called the anime section "MANGA TO RENT". OH EM GEE. I wanted to shoot whoever put that there. Let it be known now.

Manga =
Japanese Comics, or comics in general

Anime =
The animated form of these comics. May or may not be inspired by a Manga, but generally refers to animations from Japan, made in a Japanese/Anime style

Thank you for your time. Still looking for more people to add to my blogroll :) If you're interested just give us a buzz!

Looks like I double posted about Forgetting Sarah Marshall... Shows my attention to detail x] Something really great happened over the past few days but I can't say what it is... But it's made me pretty happy for those involved :D

Let's see.. what's been happening the past few days... Day long shift on Sunday which I believe I've already posted about... For the record, Jane makes the best damn flat white coffees I've ever seen, presentation-wise... Puts most others at work to shame (myself included :\) Speaking about coffees, I'm slowly picking up the art of latte decoration, but its annoying >< Trying to get the right amount of everything, proper coffee layer etc. THEN you have to make the 'decoration' look good. I obviously don't bother trying when it's busy, but it's something to work on :P anddddddd omg! Cappuccino guy didn't come in on Sunday night! (Cappuccino guy = regular customer that comes at 9pm every Sunday night and orders a regular cap, then sits at the seat by the rail closest to the coffee machine) I think it's safe to say that we were all gravely disappointed :(

Okay, coffee discussion over... Oh yeah. A homeless guy came into work on Monday morning and I spent 10 minutes with him discussing what he wanted to buy. Note: He looked like he was mentally impaired in one way or another... he spoke extremely slow.

SHORT VERSION (TL;DR Version)He chose his ice-cream after a while picking it, almost paid for his ice-cream while taking an age to do it before another customer I served earlier saw what was going on, felt sorry for the guy, paid for his ice-cream and gave the homeless guy the $6.20 change from the money he gave me.

Long Version (I have a lot of time of my hands and Alex's interaction with a customer is so amazingly interesting that I must read up on the details Version)

Homeless Guy: *points to the small tub display* I want that one
Me: Sure. Which ice-cream would you like with that sir?
Homeless Guy: *points to the small tub display* I want that one
Me: Yes sir. Which ice-cream would you like with that?
Homeless Guy: *points to the small tub display* I want that one
Me: Yes sir, I know you would like that size of ice-cream. Which flavour ice cream would you like to have?
Homeless Guy: *points to the small tub display* I want that one
Me: Which flavour would you like with it sir? I will put it in the small tub for you, so please select a flavour.

>> Homeless guy looks at me blankly for 10 seconds. Then he points to the green cuff of his jumper sleeve

Homeless Guy: This colour.
Me: So was that the Persian Pistachio flavour sir? It's the only green coloured ice-cream we have.
Homeless Guy: *points to his cuff again* This colour.
Me: Yes sir, the only green ice-cream we have is Pistachio. Would you like that?
Homeless Guy: No. This colour. *points to his jumper cuff again*
Me: How about you look at the ice cream we have here and choose which ice-cream you would like sir?

>> He spends the next 5-7 minutes looking at every single ice-cream in painstaking detail... or was just slow, most likely the latter. When he was done, he points to the Persian Pistachio

Homeless Guy: That one.

So I scooped the ice cream and gave it to him and told him it would be $3.80. He brings out his wallet and stares at me. I repeated the price to him and he starts rummaging through his wallet and brings out two 50c coins then looks at me. I told him there's $2.80 left to pay. He slowly brings out 20c coins one at a time, spending about 20seconds between each coin until he makes another dollar. I tell him there is still $1.80 to pay. The same thing happened this time, except with 10c coins. When he got to the last 10c, another customer came up and gave me a $10 note to pay for the ice-cream, which he gave the change to the homeless guy out of sympathy? or was it pity? Who knows... Either way, it was the last 10c. If you're gonna be all JUSTICE LEAGUE about it, at least step in early next time k thanks. Kudos to your generosity though, whoever you are.

So anyway, the rest of the Monday was pretty quiet. Then at 3.30, Hannah left to go home and Rhys, who just arrived, went to do the shopping for the store. And, as you all know Murphy's Law, that's when all the customers decided to flood in :] Yay...... So that last half hour was fun... *cough*

As for today, I didn't really do much.. Just played Mario Kart Wii for most of the day. Already unlocked a lot of stuff, for a game that I've only had for 2 days. I'm going out tomorrow though so I guess it's okay XD. Basketball tomorrow then I'm finally going to this 'Icey Ice' everyone's been talking about. Looking forward to it! With that, I will bid you adieu to enjoy my Tuesday night dose of anime :D Tonight: Watching Minami-ke

Edit: Welcome to my blogroll Jane :]

Okay. The movie was funny, for sure. But not one person told me of the several showings of penis in that movie. It was disturbing... It was something like "DID THEY JUST DO THAT?!!?" in my head, then they did it again .___. All in all, it was good. The pearl necklace joke was classic... Speaking of which, I ended up explaining half the jokes to Caren after the movie which was a little bit awkward I guess, but funny all the same x]

Bleh.. There's more to tell but I'm so buggered right now. I'll put an epic post up once I'm feeling better... Today in short though,

1) Bought Mario Kart Wii
2) Worked (quiet day + 2ppl working = win)
3) Trying to recover from sickness

Later readers... Whoever you are... Comments appreciated on posts? lulz.

The day after... Hee haw!

Firstly, Karaoke rocked. It was heeeeeeeaps of fun... How often do you get to see two guys singing Barbie Girl in the girliest possible voices (or maybe just screechingly high pitched) they have :P I also debuted my Chinese singing... It was fun, but I'm not sure if my pronunciation was right... Esther said it was, but knowing her... Caren has a nice singing voice too.

I only ended up drinking one 700ml container of bubble tea, but it was still good. Lychee flavour with double lychee jelly <3 We went to Hog's Breath for dinner before. I was expecting an expensive meal. I expected correctly. However, the meal was pretty damn good.. If I wasn't so picky about rare steaks, I'd say they were cooked great... but next time I'm getting well done, for sure...

At around midnight I get a call from Andrew asking me to go to his house, so I leave Caren with her friends to go clubbing to go there. First thing he says to me when I get there: "Hey man, Roid and Vince are over there. Vince puked in the taxi and cost us $85 and our ride to Northbridge". After that ensued a rather hilarious discussion, from the wasted one of course. He started talking about people and their basketball skills, then with Andrew's (drunk) intervention, makes Vince say stuff. Eg...

Vince: Andrew is a good 3 point shooter!
Andrew: and what else?
Vince: and... and... 3 point shooter!
Andrew: and licking p***y right?
Vince: and licking.. what?? yeah.. licking p***y.. and d**k.

Or something along those lines... Silly drunk people. Roid's got a recording on his phone, so will be funny to see those again sometime soon :P

As for Forgetting Sarah Marshall, it was hilarious, but, as a male, it was rather unsettling to see a guy's d**k on screen... Three times. Then again, it did really add to the humor of it all. While watching I noticed Caren didn't get half the jokes... Which ended up in me explaining them after the movie XD LOL @ Pearl Necklace joke :D

Well, today I had a morning shift at work which ended up becoming a whole-day shift. It was pretty fun and I'm kinda glad I took the longer shift. Hannah and Jane are awesome to work with... They're almost always laughing, which is great :D Too bad Hannah gets easily scared by me :P (who can blame her?). It's a lot of fun working with Caren and Esther... Nothing can top Esther's stupidity and self-set ups for jokes. Muwahaha. Caren just makes her act stupider for whatever reason that is, let alone setting herself up for jokes. Wahahaha..

Esther's Antics #1:
Esther is holding a waffle, walks up to Caren and says: "Donkey. . . . Hee haw!"
For no reason at all. Caren loses it.

Esther's Antics #2:

Esther: "I've got a fucking presentation tomorrow!!!"
Me: "I didn't know they did that kind of thing in Uni..."

It took a while to click, but once Caren got it she lost it, yet again.

More happened, but it's time for me to sleep... Morning shift at work tomorrow :[ (yes my MORNING shift starts at 10am, so what? :P)

Going to karaoke tonight, and I'm really looking forward to it! I was a little worried yesterday because I couldn't contact Utopia to make a booking, but luckily there was a free room when I finally got through. I'm eager to see a certain two people do a duet for a song... If that will happen haha. I think I'll go for another 1.4L of bubble tea tonight :D

I'm finally going to go see Forgetting Sarah Marshal today, after about a week of trying to get someone to watch it with me >_< After watching Meet The Spartans alone, I think it's safe to say that watching movies alone is depressingly lame. It was a funny movie, but c'mon... Half the fun of a comedy is re-enacting the funniest parts with your friends right after. I watched Semi-Pro with Roid and thought it wasn't that great, but making fun of the movie the next day on our basketball game was hilarious. Maybe that's just something Roid does though XD

So, my brother is a great guy, but there are times when he can get on my nerves. Maybe not directly, but he keeps on pissing my dad off all the time, so he goes around swearing and whatever all the time. Not cool. Well, in a way it's good because by doing nothing wrong around the house and just helping around with cleaning and cooking, he's giving me pocket money (which I really don't need lol). At least it's less money I'm spending on socialising so more money I can save up for my trip to Japan at the end of next year (hopefully ><) :D

As for the Wii I got the other day, my mum is addicted! I'll admit, she beat me in Bowling on the Wii Sports game... It was 153 to 189. Shame! So when she went to work I practiced hardcore and now average a 220 game hahaha. I was rather impressed though... How many mums do you see nowadays owning you in a video game? :P

Too soft?

I think I'm too soft on the inside. When you get to the point where you, as a male, cry over something that a female friend of yours wont, I guess you start to question your masculinity. No. I'm not saying I'm gay, so end it there. Maybe it isn't a matter of masculinity but moreso a matter of emotional value. I tend to see myself as someone who is very much in touch with his emotions... But is that reason enough to cry over something you saw in an 8 minute video?

Over a year ago Tina sent me a link to youtube with a video of an asian pop song, which she tends to do a lot, so I went on and watched it. The video is HERE if you want to watch it. It brought tears to my eyes, and I felt rather down for the next hour or so. Thought it wouldn't happen again, so I watched it again about a week later. Same result.

I ended up talking to another friend about Korean dramas and how they always make such dramatic death scenes or huge sacrifices for love, and it reminded me of watching that video. I knew what was going to happen. I know what the song sounds like. I've seen the video twice before. I told myself I wouldn't cry. I shouldn't, right? After all, I know what happens. Wrong. It still brought tears to my eyes. Maybe it isn't emotions as a whole but just my desire for romance? Who knows...

With that all said, I don't know if they're tears of sadness of the two of them splitting up or for the sacrifice that he made for her for the sake of love, which he would never have the joy of experiencing as he did before... Judging from what I just typed, I'm going to go ahead and assume it's the latter. Sad video is sad.

Yanks and Seppos

I was reading through the WoW Forums and found a thread with an argument between American and Australian players... After a lot of bickering, there was a few posts that really cracked me up.

Poster 1:man, im american and i love aussie accents. They are my favorite!

Only thing i dont like is that they call everyone Yanks. when i think of that, i think of people that live in the south. I live way up close to canada and i think it sounds strange to say that imo.

Poster 2: Not all of us call you yanks, some of us call u Seppo's

Poster 3:What exactly is a Seppo?

Poster 2:Yay i was hoping someone would ask that. Incase you're to lazy to google it here it is. Seppo is short for septic tank, which is rhyming slang for yank. Because septic tanks and yanks are full of the same thing.

HAHAHAHAHA... Sorry to all my American/Yank/Seppo friends, but I found this hilarious... XD

Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

So, I ended up getting my Nintendo Wii yesterday.. Wasn't exactly what I was hoping for (wanted to get an extra controller and nunchuck) but it was still good :D I ended up spending about 2 hours just creating random Miis for kicks, then about an hour or two of Wii Tennis :P 'Nuf bout that.

I watched Street Kings last night with Andrew and Catrina. I was hoping it would be good, but as usual, the trailer was better than the movie. You've really got to congratulate whoever makes these trailers. They make you want to watch sub-par movies :\ That aside, the movie wasn't TERRIBLE; it had a decent flow to it. However, the whole storyline is a liiiiiiiiiittle bit cliche with nothing to back it up. Keanu's acting was decent. Whoever did the casting, though, needs to reassess who they choose for characters... I mean, Keanu was probably the only person that fit his role nicely.

Don't get me wrong, Terry Crews is a great actor, but having him play a plot-starting / changing character in a serious movie was way too odd for me to see... I think most people are comfortable seeing him in comedy movies, which is where he should stay... For those wondering who Terry Crews is, he's the bald, buff black guy that can flex his pecs to make them look like they're jumping.. He played Freddy 'Fingers' Wilson in "Balls of Fury", the black guy that was into white chicks in "White Chicks" and one of the flight attendants in "Soul Plane". I believe he's also in the upcoming "Get Smart" movie. As you can see, he's a seasoned comedy-actor.. So yeah, that's one thing that really kinda killed the atmosphere the movie was trying to give. If you still don't know who Terry Crews is, go google him if you wish.

Another thing was seeing Hugh Laurie in the movie. Fantastic actor, don't get me wrong. But come ON people! We're so used to seeing him in a hospital as our beloved Dr. House! WHY would you put his introductory scene in a hospital. Please. Why? At least change his attitude a bit too. It isn't much different from his 'House' persona. Yeah, I know that that is how the character is supposed to act, but then shouldn't you cast someone else? His introduction in a hospital and similar attitudes really destroyed the Capt. James Biggs character and made Dr. House a cop... At least in Stuart Little you can't even tell it was him until the credits rolled... (might also be because Stuart Little was before his House debut, but that's beside the point :P)

I ended up buying "No More Heroes" for the Wii today (man, I'm so wasteful...maybe I should get myself a girlfriend instead of spending money on games.. haha) It's fantastic! The combat system is a nice change from what I'm used to nowadays. I haven't exactly played the game in-depth so this is probably the main thing that I have to comment on. The general idea of the storyline and stuff is pretty original though. Kudos to the creators.

Inspiration and Impulsive Buying...

I'm really wanting to make this blog look a lot better, but that will have to begin with a complete overhaul (not using the templates provided) and working on my HTML and CSS skills. After looking through some friends' blogs and checking out their source codes for html and css, I realised that I could do that too... I just need to learn how to apply what they did haha. Hopefully, over the next few days / weeks / months even, I'll be able to come up with something that's somewhat pleasing to the eye.

I woke up this morning with the sudden urge to go buy a new game. Don't get me wrong, FF7:Crisis Core is fantastic, but it's too damn easy, even on hard mode :( Maybe I should try getting used to the game Quannie got me for Christmas..... I'm a total noob at stealth games :\ I'm that guy that went in Rambo-style in Goldeneye single player mode. I couldn't even pass the first stage though!!! (on Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops) I mean, sure I can shoot the guy in the face and he'll fall asleep (yaaaaaaawn... why doesn't he just die) but then I get to the next area and if I get spotted I'm a goner :(

I really wanna get my Wii now. Or play Dirge of Cerberus for PS2, but moreso the former. Pay day this Thursday so hopefully I'll grab it then :P

I think I'm gonna watch a movie tonight, don't know what yet... Will tell you all later :P.. While we're on the topic of movies, I forced myself to stay up last night to watch a movie on SBS starring Andy Lau and Jacky Cheung. I was hoping it would be great.. I mean, popular actors + asian gangster movie = can't go wrong, right? Wrong! I mean, the movie didn't really have any climax.. No climax is already auto-fail. The story itself was interesting, I guess. It'd give someone who was critically analysing it, for some deeper meaning or something, a run for their money, maybe, but other than that it was mediocre at best and not worth staying up for...

Well, end of this post. May post more later. Bye!

The Opening

Hi all and welcome to my blog :) I suddenly felt inspired to start blogging again, and with that came the urge to do something I haven't done in a while... Creating a banner. Yeah, I know the name is corny but whatever... I just needed a name to work with so I could make something :P I have a really long way to go design wise... But, at least I learned a few things back at TAFE. The banner was made entirely from scratch, minus the keychain thingamajig.

Also, thanks to Hannah for being the first person on my blogroll :P any other takers?
