Since we opened yesterday morning, everytime I walked past GAME or EB Games, they have had 3 or 4 customers. At most. So I just cackle sinisterly and keep on walking. We don't wanna send Gametraders out of business. They're cool. The only games outlet that sells game-related accessories and stuff x] I like. I got my Sleeping Lionheart keychain from there :D I'll give GAME another 6 or 8 months before they shut down. Christmas might give them a bit of a boost, but I'll be sure to try and steal their potential customers >=)
Speaking of which. I caught a competitor checking out our prices in the games section. I went up to her and asked if she needed help at all and she just replied with a flat "NO" and continued with her work. I asked my superiors, and apparently there's nothing we can do about them! How stupid is that?! Oh well. It isn't our fault we're better x]. Also, we have a Grand Opening sale going on next week for those interested. Yes, I realise we opened on Thursday, but our store manager calls that a "Soft Opening". We basically use normal prices and let the whole "OMG NEW STORE" effect come into play and let people buy buy buy. THEN when we have the full week open, we do a grand opening sale to bring in more customers and try net us some regulars. Shouldn't be hard though... JB Hi-Fi has the best prices in the electronics department XD
