Ze Fumes Are Killing Me!!!! And Babylon A.D.

Entry made by Alex

Okay, so.. Work as usual today. Working 9 hours a day, 6 days a week in order to be ready for JB Hi-Fi opening next Thursday. It's tiring but eh.. Today I had to make signs and write reviews, all in permanent marker. Tell you what... Five hours straight of having that stuff open near you really killed my brain. I felt so lightheaded and dizzy by the time I finished my shift. Went to visit Caren after my shift and I was so out of it.. I probably looked stoned or something to her lol. I then went to visit Hannah before I went home. She had the biggest smile on her face, which made me feel a little better... Smiling is good. People should smile more often.

...

Except Tina. For every smile she gives, a kitten is brutally clubbed to death D:

I went to see Babylon A.D. with Quannie last night. Decent movie, but it had something that really annoyed me. Some idiot thought that it'd be a good idea to have "Handheld" camera scenes where the camera is really jittery and you can't see a thing. IT. IS. STUPID. I guess they're using it as some sort of fancy "imagery", but it really detracts from the story. If you want to show something intense, then use music to make the situation intensify. If that doesn't do the job, whoever casted those actors needs to be sacked. That said, it was cool to see Michelle Yeoh in a role that didn't place her as "OMG AWESOME ASIAN CHICK WHO CAN KICK YOUR ASS WITH KUNG FU LOL". While there were instances when there was fighting, her Kung Fu prowess was not exaggerated at all. It was an acceptable amount of fighting that any actress, who knew how to throw a punch, could pull off. That's a definite plus.

I must also say that the story itself showed good character development, and the chick that played the holy girl (forgot her name =.=) did her job well. However, the story as a whole was pretty awesome...... Until it got near the end. I won't spoil it for anyone that wants to see it, but the ending was lackluster. At best.
